The education of our children is
critical to all of us, whether we have school-aged children or not.
Having an educated, skilled workforce impacts our businesses, the
economic development of our state, and ultimately, our quality of life.
Fortunately, there are affordable and easy ways you can support
education in our state. Some of
the downloads on this page require the free Adobe Acrobat Reader,

PTA
Members
- Purchase education license plates
for yourselves.
- Give a gift certificate for an
education license plate to a teacher, principal or a public school
advocate.
- Promote the program within your
schools and at your meetings. Click here for a downloadable
PowerPoint presentation and here for an article with more information.
- Coordinate annual incentives with
the local Chambers of Commerce. Each year, schools are responsible
for providing interim incentives for students in the second through
fifth grades who qualify for that year. This keeps the students
interested and motivated to continue their studies. The interim
incentive can be anything from honoring the students during the end
of the year assembly to donated items like books or movie passes, or
even a field trip. Contact your school administrator and your local
Chamber of Commerce to help make these interim incentives a reality
for your school.
- Encourage local businesses to
accept the Corporate Challenge by purchasing license plates for their
corporate fleets.
Many local businesses have corporate fleets, or vehicles that they
are responsible for licensing and registering. These businesses can
purchase several Committed to Education license plates, and show the
state that they are committed to our students futures. Plus, the
additional cost is tax deductible. Encourage your local companies to
call the Special License Unit at the Department of Finance &
Administration at 501-682-7076, and theyll provide you with all the
information you need.
