Our Mission
The mission of the Arkansas Committed to Education Foundation is to motivate elementary public school students to maximize their personal academic achievement. Through the Foundation's License To Learn program, qualifying public school students who completed 6th grade in 2006-2007 will be awarded beginning in 2008 with technology incentives for meeting challenging attendance and academic criteria. The Foundation's special license plates were authorized by the Arkansas Legislature in 2001. Proceeds from the sale of these plates provide the funding for its initiatives.
The Foundation's target of 6th grade student population annually total around 35,000, representing the state of Arkansas, all socio-economic levels, all races and is inclusive of students regardless of physical and/or mental ability. Approximately 2600 students throughout Arkansas have met the program requirements and will be receiving prizes during the 2008-09 school year.
The Arkansas Committed to Education Foundation is dedicated to motivating and preparing today's youth for the digital world and we ask that you join with us to bridge this technology divide. Arkansas Committed to
Education Foundation
The mission of the Arkansas Committed to Education Foundation is to motivate public school elementary children to maximize their academic potential.
Established in 2001 as a non-profit organization, The Foundation initiated its first program, License To Learn in Fall 2001.
Legislation was passed in March 2001 to create a special license plate. Proceeds from the Committed to Education license plate sales will be used to fund technology-based incentives for qualifying elementary age students.
Support public education and elementary students by purchasing a Committed To Education special license plate or give a Gift Certificate for a plate to a friend or favorite teacher.
The Committed to Education license plates are $35 annually in addition to annual car registration fees. Twenty-five ($25) of each purchase goes directly to the Foundation for program funding.
