Committed to Education Special License Plate
Special license plates may be obtained in person or by mail with either option described below.
OPTION 1: Renewal and Replacement
This option allows the vehicle owner to purchase a Committed to Education license plate at the time of his/her annual vehicle registration renewal. The vehicle owner will be paying his/her Car Registration Fees and a Special $35.00 License Plate fee authorizing its use for a year.
OPTION 2: Tag Replacement
This option allows the vehicle owner to replace a current existing license plate with a Committed to Education license plate and keep the same expiration date as the plate being replaced. Applicants will get the entire benefit of the full registration fee paid for the plate being replaced. The vehicle owner will pay a $35 Special License Plate fee authorizing its use for the remainder of the vehicle registration period. Special License Plate fees are due again at renewal time.
